Description:Cliff Padley was born in 1922 in Brigg and Died 8th February 2017. He was an apprentice at the Hull Times in Brigg, which was on Wrawby Street, in the archway that leads to the Coach Inn. Mr Ernest Plowright (father of Joan Plowright, of the theatre), the editor or chief printer taught Mr Padley. Mr Padley worked at Caldicott until he was made redundant in 1970/71. He then worked for the Scunthorpe Star until 1988. He worked for the Scunthorpe Telegraph 1988-1998. Mr Padley is said to be the last man to use the ATOS system there.
